Plumbing Counter Salesperson

Description

• Deliver excellent customer experience by understanding and meeting needs.
• Assist customers with inquiries, sales orders, backorder expediting, and special/nonstock purchases.
• Pick and assemble orders within one hour of printing, handling materials carefully.
• Verify order accuracy and clearly label pickup orders.
• Stage completed orders in designated bins and complete required documentation.
• Operate material handling equipment safely and compliantly.
• Support warehouse and sales counter through stocking, cleaning, and display maintenance.
• Build and sustain positive customer relationships and aid product promotions.
• Provide backup support to warehouse and team members and maintain reliable attendance.
• Present a professional image as company representative.
• Frequently talk, hear, walk, stand, handle, grasp, reach, and use fingers.
• Regularly sit, climb, bend, stoop, push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 lb.
• Maintain alertness and perform duties safely.

• Maintain knowledge of warehouse layout, bin systems, and product types.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, negotiation, and sales abilities.
• Sound judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Understanding basic financial concepts such as margins, profit, and discounts.
• Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Proficiency with standard office equipment and computer systems; Eclipse knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of plumbing/waterworks products and applications.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to pass operator exam and operate powered industrial equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (may be required).
• Required clear vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more, depth perception, and color vision.
• Pass substance‑abuse screening.
