Assist shop in issues related of turbo expanders.

Improve the process of machine design.
Take responsibility for assignments and bring them to simple, effective conclusions.
Maintain up to date documentation on all responsible projects.
Prepare specifications for the buyout components, such as housings, gear box, mechanical seals and other core unit components.
Deliver the design based on the reequipments of the development project master specification.

Understand machine shop practice and to be able to communicate with engineering and machine shop personnel.
Job will generally be performed in an office environment, but may require travel to a Client's office, production facility or industrial/construction job site. Conditions will vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply.
Have a strong understanding of product development and machine design process.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar field, per agreement.
Experience in expander-compressor units with active magnetic bearings
Ability to review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards and customer contract requirements, and related specifications
5-10 years’ experience working as a turbo machinery engineer.
Be proficient in the turbo machine and part design process.
Experience analyzing engineering sketches, specifications, related data and drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape and arrangement of parts
Experience with Solid Works and GD&T
Demonstrate the ability to self correct and self improve.
Job specific training modules deemed necessary by employee’s Manager or Director will be required of all employees on an ongoing basis
To be able to work alone or in a group.
Ability to make equipment layouts and perform fundamental engineering calculations
Demonstrate excellence in interpersonal skills including communication, be a self-starter, have a positive make-happen attitude, to be able to handle multiple tasks, and be a team player
All safety related training is provided and tracked by the EHS Manager
Have a strong knowledge of design and drafting practice to provide design layouts, 3-D models and 2-D drawings.
At least five years of design engineering experience
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. may be necessary.
Experience planning and formulating design engineering program and works with project team staff according to project requirements
Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite
