PIPEFITTER/PLUMBER - MAINTENANCE (UNION)

Description

• Installs and test hydraulic, compressed air, fire sprinkling, steam and other pressure systems.
• Performs all tasks incidental to the work.
• Determines routing and location of lines, accessories, and equipment.
• Uses blueprints, sketches and work orders and adheres to trade practices and plumbing codes.
• Installs, assembles, repairs and maintains plumbing lines, systems and accessories.
• Performs trouble shooting in major breakdowns, diagnosing trouble and taking corrective action.
• Performs functional tests to assure proper installations and system operations.
• Computes kind, size and amount of pipe connections and other materials when necessary.
• Installs and test sanitary plumbing fixtures.

Requirements

• Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
• Must have the ability to communicate the English language, both verbally and written, in an effective manner.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen in order to obtain required NASA badge.
• Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
• Makes proper connection be sweating, leading, screwing or bolting joints.
• Must be able to provide a certified Birth Certificate (with state seal), Passport, or INS Citizenship documents on date of hire (candidate will be sent home if this paperwork is not provided upon arrival on date of hire).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate certifications where such certifications are a requirement of the job.
• Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.
• Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.
• Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
• Must possess the degree of familiarization which is consistent with and considered usual and normal for the complexity of the work to be performed.
• Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment background check and drug screen test.
• Must have, and maintain, a valid Real ID driver’s license.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience.
