What you would be doing

- Help set up, maintain, and transport Topcon GPS rovers, robotic total stations, and related equipment
- Record field notes, measurements, and assist in maintaining accurate survey logs
- Follow all company safety procedures and assist with site safety practices
- Establish and maintain survey control points, stakes, and markers
- Help troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure tools are clean, organized, and well- maintained
- Carry survey rods, prisms, and other tools for layout and data collection
- Perform general labor duties as needed to support the survey team and project operations
- Support uploading/downloading data to survey and machine control systems
- Assist the Field Engineer/Party Chief with daily survey and layout activities

- Familiarity with GPS, total stations, or other survey equipment
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and eagerness to learn new skills
- Physically able to carry equipment and work on active construction sites
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn data collection software
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to read and understand basic construction drawings is helpful
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Basic understanding of construction, surveying, or civil layout preferred (willing to train the right candidate)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- On-the-job training with advanced survey technology
- Previous construction or survey field experience
