Duties include managing project tasks, design and permitting, construction coordination, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, maintaining high‑quality plans, checking others’ work, monitoring progress, budgets and schedules, and receiving mentorship and training.
Kimley‑Horn’s Dallas, Texas office is hiring an Electrical Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) with at least two years of experience to join the Water/Wastewater and Utilities team. The role is on‑site and not remote.
Candidates need 2+ years of municipal water/wastewater design experience, a B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET‑accredited program, and an Engineer‑in‑Training or Engineering Intern certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months). Required skills include designing electrical/instrumentation and controls for pump stations and treatment plants, AutoCAD proficiency, clear technical communication, strong writing, detail‑orientation, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
