Solar Technician, Level 2

Description

• Perform routine maintenance on solar panels, inverters, racking, and tracking systems under supervision.
• Record maintenance activities in the CMMS, creating and closing work orders.
• Follow safety protocols, including PPE, lockout/tagout, and safe work practices.
• Assist in preparing maintenance reports documenting issues, solutions, and recommendations.
• Participate in on‑the‑job training and company training programs to develop solar plant operational skills.
• Handle and organize tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring proper maintenance and storage.
• Collaborate with senior technicians and the Site Lead, following instructions to complete tasks safely and accurately.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying items up to 50 lb in various weather conditions.
• Accurately document work activities and follow instructions.

• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess a basic understanding of electrical systems and mechanical aptitude.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn, follow safety protocols, and adhere to company procedures.
• Exhibit strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Have basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with team members.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry items up to 50 lb, work in confined spaces, and stand or walk for extended periods.
