- Provide guidance to train newly hired internal staff as needed
- Exercise independent judgment and analysis of significant issue identification and resolution
- Coordinate closely with all parties involved
- Perform Quality Control reviews for various contract documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies including State and Federal contracting and procurement requirements as applicable.
- Review contract documents against project scopes to verify project information and ensure applicable work types are covered
- Assist internal staff with procurement activities including consultant acquisition, contract negotiations, method of payment, and preparing contract documents when needed due to staff shortages

- Proficient with Microsoft Office software, including complex MS Excel spreadsheets with formulas
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, with minimal management oversight
- Ability to review and interpret project scopes
- Professional, self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented with the flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- 7 years contract-related experience; advanced degree or contract certification program may substitute for years of experience
- Apply knowledge of contracting concepts, and follow and enforce client requirements
- Strong math, analytical and organizational skills
- Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position
- Bachelor's degree
- Previous experience with FDOT or FL Turnpike and familiarity with FDOT procurement process
- Working to expert knowledge of contracting concepts and company and client requirements
- Excellent writing and people skills
