Description

The role involves constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing wood, plywood, and wallboard structures and fixtures using hand and power tools, while following safety rules and maintaining a clean work environment.

• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements with hand tools, machines, or power saws.
• Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine dimensions and material requirements.
• Assemble and fasten frameworks or props using hand tools, screws, nails, glue, and pneumatic nail guns.
• Apply logical reasoning to evaluate alternative solutions and approaches to problems.
• Obtain and manage equipment, facilities, and materials needed for work.
• Control operations of equipment or systems.
• Perform rapid hand and arm movements to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
• Operate a table saw, band saw, drill press, miter saw, hand tools, and drills.

Requirements

Physical requirements include the ability to lift, bend, stretch, twist, or reach, standing for 8‑12 hour shifts, and working outdoors in varying temperatures.
