What you would be doing

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and maintaining strong, long-term relationships
Manage the department’s defined utilization targets in accordance with billable hour requirements.
Develop innovative initiatives to enhance our delivery and growth rate
Collaborate with the marketing team to implement strategies to grow the department’s client base and launch new initiatives
Continually analyze and evaluate operations to identify deficiencies and prepare reports outlining recommendations for improvement to the Assistant Commissioner with an eye on efficiency
Develop synergies with other Building & Real Estate business
Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all testing and inspection activities
Ensure that objectives and key results are sufficiently detailed and clearly communicated
Be accountable for the P&L results
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in special inspection services
Develop and manage project budgets, resource allocation, and schedules
Develop the marketing and sales strategy to ensure a sustainable growth going forward
Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Special Inspection department
Ensure special inspections and testing services resources are continually aligned to meet targets and address operational challenges while staying compliant with industry standards, regulations, and client specifications
Develop and implement the creation of new operational protocols and standards that govern day to day activities for the division
Develop cross selling and up selling opportunities to develop the customer value
Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of inspection projects

Strong knowledge of operations and protocols of the Department of Buildings

Professional License (PE) CWI, and/or NICET is preferred. (added the CWI and/or NICET) preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Architectural, Civil, or Mechanical preferred)
