Corporate Controller – AS Holdings

Description

• Serve as a strategic partner to ownership and senior management, providing insight to guide business planning and decision-making.
• Manage project cost control, cash flow, forecasting, WIP, and revenue recognition, with understanding of commercial construction accounting practices.
• Lead long-term financial strategy through heavy data analytics, forecasting, and performance analysis to support growth and profitability.
• Lead and develop accounting and finance teams, promoting excellence, collaboration, and continuous process improvement.
• Prepare and deliver accurate, timely, and clear financial reports and presentations to leadership.
• Manage key external relationships including banks, bonding/surety providers, insurance carriers, and legal advisors.
• Function as a thoughtful steward of company resources and a catalyst for organizational growth.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP; manage internal and external audits; assist with risk mitigation and review key contracts.

Requirements

AS Holdings is looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Corporate Controller to oversee financial operations across our family of six (6) business entities. This is a leadership role designed for someone who thrives on strategy, structure, and collaboration.

• Commercial construction industry preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to manage teams and drive process improvements.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• CPA, CMA, or CCIFP credentials strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with financial systems, reporting, audits, and compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA, CMA, CCIFP, MBA or advanced certifications are a strong plus.
• Demonstrate strong comprehension of commercial construction accounting knowledge, including percent-completion and project-based reporting methods.
• Proven problem-solver with sound judgment and a proactive, hands-on approach.
