Tasks

-Serve as a strategic partner to ownership and senior management, providing insight to guide business planning and decision-making. -Manage project cost control, cash flow, forecasting, WIP, and revenue recognition, with understanding of commercial construction accounting practices. -Lead long-term financial strategy through heavy data analytics, forecasting, and performance analysis to support growth and profitability. -Lead and develop accounting and finance teams, promoting excellence, collaboration, and continuous process improvement. -Prepare and deliver accurate, timely, and clear financial reports and presentations to leadership. -Manage key external relationships including banks, bonding/surety providers, insurance carriers, and legal advisors. -Function as a thoughtful steward of company resources and a catalyst for organizational growth. -Ensure compliance with GAAP; manage internal and external audits; assist with risk mitigation and review key contracts.

AS Holdings is looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Corporate Controller to oversee financial operations across our family of six (6) business entities. This is a leadership role designed for someone who thrives on strategy, structure, and collaboration. If you’re a strategic thinker with a passion for developing people and improving processes, we’d love to meet you! -Commercial construction industry preferred. -Strong leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to manage teams and drive process improvements. -8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience. -CPA, CMA, or CCIFP credentials strongly preferred. -Hands-on experience with financial systems, reporting, audits, and compliance. -Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA, CMA, CCIFP, MBA or advanced certifications are a strong plus. -Demonstrate strong comprehension of commercial construction accounting knowledge, including percent-completion and project-based reporting methods. -Proven problem-solver with sound judgment and a proactive, hands-on approach.
