Strong attention to quality and detail
The ability to read and understand all types of drawings or documents to determine the fibre counts being used
Experience using single fibre fusion sets, ribbon fibre splicing, live fibre identifiers, ribbonizing techniques
Ability to communicate respectfully with employees, visitors, and customers
Proficient in fibre cable termination with connectors a variety of connector types
In depth knowledge of OTDR testing to prove high losses and open locations with accuracy
Experience with working in live fibre closures
Self-motivated with good organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to problem solve and work independently
Fibre Optic splicing experience
The understanding of patch panels, pigtails, patch cords and splice boxes
Ability to prioritize tasks multiple tasks to ensure customer due dates are met
Previous hands on experience with connectorizng cables or pigtails using a Corning Unicam or Opti-Snap tool
Knowledge of work area protection and safe work practices, electrical safety awareness and fall protection
Previous experience with providing power meter results including documentation
Experience with all types of fibre closures such as PLP Armadillo, PLP Dome, PLP coyote Runts and Tyco 400 or 450 series
Familiar with working in confined spaces or manholes
