Sr. Project Manager

Description

As the Senior Project Manager of Capital Projects, you will oversee large and multi-discipline projects and provide direction for the multi-business unit project team to ensure the projects align with Customer specifications, objectives, timelines and budgets. This position will involve managing projects in New England. The salary range is $150,000.00 – $180,000.00.

• Facilitates client walk-through(s) of project sites to maintain customer satisfaction
• Administers high-quality, timely and excellent customer service to promote the organization as an industry leader
• Maintains oversight of applicable project documentation including samples, plans and specifications, contracts, change orders and pricing changes, etc. to ensure project remains on course with most up-to-date specifications
• Liaisons with the customer on a regular basis to provide progress updates, exchange ideas, answer questions, and meet the customer’s expectations in every way
• Oversee the projects and various project team members, providing direction, leadership, mentoring, and day-to-day management support in accordance with project priorities
• Analyzes progress reports, cost to complete, and other weekly and/or month-end supporting documentation to ensure specifications and expenses fall within the prescribed guidelines
• Reviews project scope and quotes from the Estimating Managers or BU Managers for full understanding of outcome goals and overall costs
• Oversee project invoicing, including timesheets, resources and material allocations, expenses, and accounts receivable collections to verify proper billing processes are followed and budgets remain in-line
• Manages the projects onsite to monitor the development of the project, safety, and quality control to ensure all periodic milestones and cost elements are met
• Manages large and/or multi-discipline projects from start to finish ensuring customer specifications, objectives, timelines and budgets are met

Requirements

• 15 + years of related multi- and/or large project management experience in construction or environmental industries preferred
• Experience in Heavy Industrial, Power Generation, Natural Gas, and Life Science mechanical construction and services is preferred
• Excellent MS Office and construction management software skills; Primavera experience preferred
• Strong customer focus; excellent ability to handle multiple projects with thoroughness and accuracy; advanced leadership and mentoring abilities; excellent negotiation and influencing skills; highly accountable with a strong quality & safety focus; able to work through conflict; flexible and adaptable to change; supportive of a team
• Strong ability in planning, analysis, project management, and processes; first-rate organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize, multi-task, with excellent attention to details and follow through to ensure successful projects every time. Strong knowledge of estimating, construction, design, finance, and budgeting. Strong ability to manage outcomes on projects for success
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or similar field; will consider equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present well and collaborate with clients in a professional way. Able to mentor, lead, and train others
