Work under the direction of licensed Landscape Architects to assist in the development of our ongoing projects by collaborating with our local Stantec team and other project teams in Florida and the US.
Assists with the preparation of plans and reports for relevant project design elements.
May assist in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
Redline own drawings and makes corrections prior to submitting for QA/QC review.
Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documents for site plans and support graphics using hand drawings and other computer programs.
Takes initiative on tasks and in coordinating with other members of the design team.
Prepare and lay out documents, reports, and presentations.
Prepare site plans and understand principles of grading and drainage, planting design, detail design, and documentation standards.
Utilize relevant software programs in preparing exhibits and complex working drawings; continue to develop skills using software programs for design and drafting.
Ensure internal approval of products and plans and assists with processing plans for approval by reviewing agencies.
Develop cooperative skills in working within a team dynamic and understanding of task assignments, budgeting, and project schedule.
May train less experienced team members in daytoday activities including routine technical design, processing, and company procedures.
Prepare and coordinate technical activities on assigned projects. Includes production efforts for design drawings, graphics, and technical drawings.
Participate in meetings and presentations.
Support marketing and business development efforts.
Perform due diligence and research on projects as required to provide the background information to start new projects.

4+years of prior professional landscape architecture experience.
Comfortable working within a team environment, as well as being productive independently with limited supervision.
Exceptional conceptual design and graphic skills using hand and computer drawing and rendering techniques.
Excellent communications skills, written and verbal.
Understanding of budgeting, efficient use of time and resources as it relates to personal tasks, project scope and project budget issues.
Familiarity with and ability to identify Florida plants a plus.
Exceptional technical design skills in site and planning projects across a range of project scales from less than one acre to thousands of acres in size. Skills required include technical design layout, grading, and detailing projects of all sizes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud, and SketchUp is required. Revit experience is a plus. Experience with Enscape, Lumion, Twinmotion, Rhino, Grasshopper, or other 3D visualization programs is strongly preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and LandFX.
Successful candidates must have an undergraduate and/or graduate degree from an accredited landscape architecture program.
Strong quantitative aptitude and attention to technical detail are required. Prior experience in site construction, either observation or handson, is beneficial.
Current licensure as a Landscape Architect is preferred. Eventual licensure is expected.
