Catchment Specialist, Regulatory Reporting

Description

• Technical Management - support delivery and reporting to meet regulatory requirements. Provide technical evaluations and recommendations on environmental measures to mitigate predicted challenges.
• Technical Expertise - act as a subject matter expert on catchment management, water and environmental policy. Scope and evaluate projects for delivery via specialist frameworks.
• Engagement - build strong relationships with regulators, water companies, industry groups, and Catchment Partnerships.
• Strategy - contribute to statutory plans and advise on future catchment risks to water resource capability.

Requirements

• Strong technical report writing and review skills
• Ability to manage multi-disciplinary tasks to high standards and deadlines
• Degree (and ideally a Master’s) in Environmental Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience
• In-depth knowledge of water quality investigations, catchment risk assessments, and translating regulatory requirements into actionable plans.
• Experience with monitoring programmes, data analysis, and reporting
• Experience in water quality investigations and catchment management planning/delivery
• Familiarity with IT systems and GIS mapping tools
