The Industrial Scaffold Builder role involves assisting in the construction, dismantling, and repair of wooden and metal scaffolds and related auxiliary structures. The employee will work on various construction projects, including decks, steps, bulletin boards, and other wooden structures, while maintaining clean work areas.
- Assist in constructing, reinforcing, and dismantling wooden and metal scaffolds.
- Identify required tools and assess safety risks, implementing appropriate precautions.
- Measure, mark, and cut materials to exact specifications.
- Build auxiliary structures such as decks, steps, bulletin boards, and other wooden items.
- Clean and maintain work areas.
- Support other crafts when not engaged in scaffolding tasks.
- Meet all physical job requirements and follow safety rules and regulations.

The position requires strict adherence to safety protocols, accurate measurement and cutting of materials, identification of tools and hazards, and a willingness to support other trades when not engaged in scaffolding tasks. Physical fitness, reliable transportation, and possession of required tools are essential.
Candidates must be current Zachry employees or have prior Zachry Industrial experience, hold an NCCER Industrial Scaffold Builder certification (or NCCER Industrial Journeyman Carpenter), and possess relevant formal or technical education and experience with scaffolding, insulation, and painting.
