In this role you’ll join the Rollingstock Projects team within Sydney Trains’ Fleet Maintenance branch, supporting the delivery of the New Regional Fleet. You’ll play a key coordination role across rostering and project support, working closely with Train Captains and test personnel to enable safe and efficient testing activities.
Key responsibilities include coordinating test planning and daily rostering in line with agreements, fatigue management and rostering guidelines; providing project coordination and administrative support for testing activities; coordinating training requirements and maintaining accurate records; preparing reports, briefings and correspondence for senior stakeholders; and supporting resource utilisation, planning and reporting within a safety‑critical environment.
While you won’t be required to work nights or be on call, you’ll support an operation where testing occurs around the clock. This is a temporary fixed‑term, full‑time opportunity for up to 16 months, concluding in March 2027.
You’re agile, keen and open to meaningful work and opportunities that come your way. Work in an organisation based on purpose, structure and process. You know that to make a meaningful contribution to our community and economy, there needs to be diligence in our operations.
You have experience in crew rostering, workforce coordination or operational planning, supported by strong administrative and project support skills. You also have experience using rostering systems, understand fatigue and compliance requirements, possess strong organisational skills, can manage competing priorities, and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders.
The role suits someone looking to grow into project coordination or an operational professional seeking a more office‑based coordination role. It is an Award RC5 Temporary Fixed Term Full‑Time role based in Sydney CBD and Auburn, with hybrid working flexibility (typically 3–4 days per week in the office).
Our workforce is as diverse as the community we serve, and we offer award‑winning flexible and hybrid work options along with a wide range of employee benefits.
