Description

• Describe your experience supervising or leading engineers and include examples of how you planned and organized work, assigned and monitored workloads, ensured quality and timelines of deliverables, and provided coaching or feedback when necessary.

Requirements

• Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 (when not applying electronically), or the Electronic State Employment Application through your Applicant Account at www.CalCareers.ca.gov. All Experience and Education relating to the Minimum Qualifications listed on the Classification Specification should be included to demonstrate how you meet the Minimum Qualifications for the position.
• Registration as a Professional engineer with the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists is required for this position.
• Describe your experience analyzing complex and sensitive issues, recommending effective courses of action, and balancing competing constraints and objectives to successfully deliver large, complex programs in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Describe your knowledge and application of project development processes, standards, policies, and practices in delivering complex transportation projects. Use specific examples.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license is required to operate a state-owned or leased vehicle.
• The SOQ must follow the number format, must respond to the criteria below, must not exceed two pages in length, and be typed in size 11 Arial font.
• Describe your experience communicating technical information to diverse audiences, making presentations, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and solving conflicts.
