- Offer legal advice on compliance matters across manufacturing, environmental, safety, retail, and construction operations.
- Assist with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance.
- Work closely with operations, sales, and safety teams to identify and reduce legal and compliance risks.
- Help build and improve compliance programs.
- Support risk management strategies and help shape company initiatives.
- Help create training and educational materials to foster a strong compliance culture.
- Coordinate with outside counsel and regulatory agencies when needed.
- Provide legal input on product safety, warranties, and construction defect claims.
- Stay up to date on changing laws and regulations, and share practical guidance with teams across the business.

- JD from an accredited law school.
- Experience as in-house counsel in manufacturing or construction.
- Solid understanding of regulations in manufacturing and construction (e.g., OSHA, EPA, state building codes).
- Background in safety, sustainability, or environmental compliance.
- High ethical standards and good judgment.
- Compliance certifications (like CCEP, CRCMP, CRMP, GRCP).
- 5+ years of legal experience, ideally in regulatory compliance, risk management, or construction law.
- Comfortable working independently and with teams in a fast-moving, hands-on environment.
- Familiarity with enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state and eligible for licensure in Minnesota.
