Environmental Intern

Description

• Field assistance with groundwater sampling, soil sampling, soil vapor sampling, ecological risk assessments etc.
• May include field work and occasional driving as part of project responsibilities
• Perform engineering calculations and design assistance for government, commercial, and industrial properties as needed
• Perform data entry, data management, data evaluation, and data presentation
• Field work may include traveling to sites, note taking, equipment management, and sample collection
• Office work may include file organization, research and compilation of notes, presentation of material
• Support various project tasks including regulatory requirements/review estimates, research, procurement support, etc.
• Field work oversight such as soil excavation, remediation, due diligence inspections, etc.

Requirements

• OSHA 40 hour safety or 30 hour OSHA safety training preferred, but not required.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Self-motivated, detail orientated person
• Experience with engineering software applications (AutoCad, MathCad, ESRI, HydroCad, WaterCad, ARCView GIS, etc.) is preferred but not required
• Applicants for this intern role must possess a clean driving record.
• Pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Sustainability, or related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills
• Must be at least 21 years old
