  • Prepare detailed business cases to support opportunities to increase production and/or add resources.
  • Ensure optimal delivery of budgetary commitments.
  • Concise reports for reservoir studies, maintaining comprehensive, accessible, and up-to-date records of input and interpreted data.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary subsurface team to assess incremental production and reserves potential of identified opportunities.
  • Cost effective Surveillance Plan to reduce uncertainty, mitigate subsurface risks to deliver production plan, improve development strategy and verify reservoir management effectiveness.
  • Reservoir Management Strategy and measure plan to assess its effectiveness.
  • Responsible for performing all duties with due regard to the health, safety of self, others and of the environment in which they are undertaken.
  • Support the development team with subsurface and production input for the purposes of CAPEX & OPEX budget and business planning process.
  • Identify key risks and uncertainties associated with development options, quantify their impact and create comprehensive risk assessment with associated mitigation actions.
  • The postholder is expected to adhere to all Legislative requirements the Petrofac 9 Lifesaving Rules and the Petrofac Values.
  • Mobilize to client’s office, when appropriate, abroad or in country, to support team and activities.
  • Produces work of accurate and presentable quality in the appropriate formats.
  • Work with and provide mentor support to personnel as part of Technical Services Contract requirements.
  • Provide technical recommendations on how future reservoir modelling is carried out.
  • Review and verify legacy reservoir data and models.
  • Manage reservoir engineering studies conducted by consultants and third-party contractors.
  • Effectively and openly shares information with the wider organization in support of the overall business goals.
  • Setting priorities and developing integrated project scopes from multiple inputs from the conception
  • Collaborate closely with Production Engineers on production optimization efforts, identification of opportunities for production enhancement and debottlenecking production, leading well by well reviews and contributing with process optimisation efforts.
  • Define and implement reservoir management strategy that demonstrably enhance production and optimize resource recovery.
  • Builds strong constructive working relationships with a wide range of people both within the local organization and externally.
  • Provide reservoir and subsurface data to annual field report and reserve reporting process.
  • Ensure reservoir models are fit for purpose to evaluate development options, like infill drilling, changes in exploitation strategy or recovery mechanisms.
  • Assist asset production team with production forecasting and package uplift planning and scheduling workflow.
  • Overall responsible for reservoir description and modelling, ensuring that models stay current and updated with the latest production, well data and geoscientist interpretation.
  • Identify and act upon any areas of efficiency in a timely manner with a view of delivering cost savings without risk to safety or production
  • Develop and appraise field development opportunities for consideration of the client.

  • Good organizational skills, SMART working methods and can demonstrate personal effectiveness in previous roles.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication and presentation skills. This requires the ability to articulate in a clear, concise and constructive manner at the appropriate level for the intended audience.
  • Ability to manage multiple work scopes, prioritising and allocating resources as required for the best outcome for the client .
  • Working knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of production engineering and well servicing.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to deliver in a goal orientated working environment.

  • Degree qualified or with significant experience working in the oil and gas industry or similar industry in a similar position.
