Key responsibilities include understanding HMIS and MSDS labels, reading production schedules, and adhering to product specifications and quality standards. The employee will troubleshoot production problems, execute lockout/tagout procedures, maintain cleanliness, and train new level‑1 production staff. Additional duties involve performing QA core tests, adjusting equipment settings, and completing various start‑up and shut‑down tasks. Continuous learning of higher‑level positions (Level 2‑4) and proper emergency response are also required.
The role demands physical stamina: standing for long periods on cement floors, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing ladders and working at elevated levels. Workers must be able to lift 20‑50 lb regularly, wear required PPE, and operate mobile equipment such as forklifts. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and a variable schedule is expected.
Candidates should have at least one year of experience in a warehouse or production environment and be proficient in reading tape measures, work instructions and product specifications. Basic math, beginner to intermediate computer skills, and solid written and verbal communication are required. The ability to handle multiple priorities, apply root‑cause corrective action processes, make strong decisions and work effectively as a team are essential. Forklift certification is also required, though the company encourages applicants who do not meet 100 % of the criteria to apply.
The entry‑level production role offers a base hourly rate of $22.27 and supports the core team with hands‑on tasks such as material handling, forklift operation, and preventative maintenance. All positions at the Hillsboro plant are cross‑functional and participate in the pay‑for‑skills program, providing flexibility to also cover shipping and receiving duties.
