The Functional Lead - SAP FI partners with Business Process Owners and product management teams to drive transformation by providing functional design leadership and identifying modern technology solutions leveraging industry-leading practices. This role is primarily focused on solution architecture, process design, and strategic decision-making, rather than hands-on configuration. The Functional Lead helps develop transformation roadmaps and identify and quantify value drivers to support business objectives.
- Work with Change Management on stakeholder engagement activities to support solution adoption
- Provide process and solution design expertise and drive process standardization across SAP FI and related domains
- Work closely with Solution Architects to provide functional input and design guidance for roadmap development
- Encourage innovation and problem-solving to address user concerns through smart design choices, avoiding unnecessary customizations
- Provide design guardrails and governance to ensure solutions remain aligned with the product vision and enterprise architecture
- Confirm process scope and assess required customizations with Product Managers and Owners, focusing on minimizing custom development through smart design
- Help teams segment, sequence, and prioritize work efforts based on business value and design feasibility
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Owners to identify and quantify value drivers and ensure solution design supports them
- Help teams define test scope and ensure end-to-end processes are covered appropriately from a design perspective
- Assist in addressing risks and clearing impediments that may impact solution delivery
- Collaborate with Functional and Development teams to ensure delivery of user stories aligns with the intended design
- Participate in and support Scrum teams during Sprint planning, execution, documentation, and delivery of user stories, with a focus on design integrity
- Drive defect resolution and remove roadblocks, ensuring design integrity is maintained throughout
- Help develop a comprehensive Cutover plan, encompassing business and technical activities for the end-to-end solution
- Lead design decisions and guide resolution in collaboration with Product Managers and Owners, ensuring alignment with business goals

We are looking for a passionate, experienced, and skilled Functional Lead - SAP FI to support the digital transformation within Schneider Electric’s North America Market (NAM). As a member of NAM Digital and respective program Scrum team you will lead definition, planning and delivering iterative releases of our digital platforms using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). You will work closely with Finance business process owners, Product management, Solution Architects, Scrum team members, and enabling teams.

- Knowledge of SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting module (SAP RAR) is preferred
- Solid understanding of end-to-end business process flows (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Plan to Produce, Record to Report)
- Experience integrating finance processes with Sales and Distribution, Production, Procurement, and Project Systems modules of SAP is preferred
- Familiarity with integrating SAP with third-party apps and add-ons like SABRIX/OneSource tax determination, Vistex Rebate Management is preferred

- Deep understanding of finance processes and demonstrated experience in leading the design of multiple complex SAP implementation projects
- Knowledge of Agile principles and frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban; SAFe experience highly desired
- Certification and experience with S/4 HANA Finance (at least one implementation cycle) is preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial reconciliations and data validations
- Basic knowledge of product costing and profitability analysis is a plus
- Strong knowledge of SAP Finance and SAP FSCM capabilities, with a focus on solution design and architecture using leading industry practices
- Understanding of financial flows for various manufacturing processes (MTS, MTO, CTO, ETO) is preferred
- Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle, SAP Project Implementation Methodology, and project management tools
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Finance, with 5-10 years of relevant experience in SAP FI
- Experience in designing and architecting solutions in SAP FI (AR, AP, GL, Asset) and FSCM (Credit Management, Dispute Management); hands-on configuration experience is a plus but not the primary focus
- Familiarity with SQL for data retrieval and validation is preferred

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $114,400 - $185,600 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, jobrelated skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
