The manager will coordinate MTU engine failure investigations, field tests, and reporting to Rolls‑Royce Solutions America, supervising NALA Labs and ensuring timely completion of critical failure analysis. Responsibilities include defining investigation processes, supporting technical service prioritization, leading customer‑concern meetings, and driving capital improvement projects aligned with corporate objectives.

- Define and execute line‑call incident investigation processes per global policies.
- Support technical service in prioritizing failures and reporting corrective actions to headquarters.
- Lead customer‑concern meetings with internal partners.
- Initiate and manage capital improvement projects aligned with departmental and corporate objectives.
- Determine staffing, training, and resource requirements; assign responsibilities and assess performance.
- Hire and appraise reliability engineering candidates in partnership with HR.
- Ensure health, safety, and compliance practices; maintain lab equipment and records.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical, Industrial, or Materials Engineering and have at least five years of relevant experience (or nine years without the degree). Required skills include leadership, root‑cause analysis, knowledge of diesel‑engine systems, and proficiency with SAP, Windchill PLM, MS Office, Visio and Project. Domestic and international travel is expected.

- Minimum 5 years (or 9 years without degree) of experience in metallurgy, mechanical, materials, or quality engineering.
- Proven leadership and strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Expertise in diesel‑engine failure investigations, root‑cause analysis, and quality engineering principles.
- Proficiency with SAP, Windchill PLM (CreoView), MS Office Suite, Visio, and MS Project.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
