Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Description

The Manager, FP&A will lead strategic financial planning and analysis, creating driver‑based models, managing budgets and forecasts, and delivering executive‑ready presentations. Acting as a key business partner, the role will analyze performance drivers, support ERP implementation, design dashboards, and collaborate across Operations, Supply Chain and Finance to improve forecasting accuracy and identify risks and opportunities.

• Develop and maintain driver‑based financial models for production volume, yield, scrap, labor/machine rates, and overhead absorption.
• Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts (P&L, cash flow, working capital) with assumptions, scenario analysis, and executive presentations.
• Produce margin bridges and perform cost variance analysis on key drivers such as price, volume, mix, labor efficiency, and overhead.
• Support ERP implementation by defining reporting requirements, validating data, and designing operational and financial dashboards.
• Collaborate with accounting and cost accounting teams to ensure accurate, timely financial results and inventory/cost data reporting.
• Serve as a strategic decision‑support point of contact for Operations, Supply Chain, and corporate stakeholders.
• Partner with business groups to improve forecasting accuracy, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actions.
• Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes and analytical capabilities.
• Conduct ad‑hoc analyses, including NPV, margin, ROI, and prepare board materials.
• Foster strong cross‑functional relationships and proactively identify opportunities for finance to act as a strategic partner.

Requirements

• University degree in Finance or Accounting.
• CPA designation preferred.
• 5+ years of finance experience, including at least 3 years in a hands‑on FP&A role within a complex organization.
• Proven expertise in financial modelling and planning with a continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Strong understanding of cash flows and ability to build cash‑flow models and intelligent forecasting methodologies.
• Sound judgment, problem‑solving ability, and comfort with ambiguity.
• Customer‑focused with excellent relationship‑building and collaborative style.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for all organizational levels.
• High ethical standards, personal integrity, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple competing deliverables with accuracy and timeliness.
• Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience leveraging AI tools such as CoPilot or ChatGPT in finance.
• Experience in highly automated manufacturing environments.
• Experience with OneStream, JDE, or Hyperion.

Benefits

The position offers a base salary range of $85,000 to $130,000, with eligibility to participate in Mattamy’s annual bonus program based on the achievement of business and individual goals.
