What you would be doing
excavator checks
excavation work
plan reading
machine maintenance
issue resolution
stakeholder communication
  • Conducting pre-operational checks on the excavator
  • Digging trenches, foundations, and other excavation work
  • Reading and interpreting construction plans and blueprints
  • Ensuring that the excavator is properly maintained
  • Identifying and resolving any issues or problems that arise
  • Setting up and preparing the site for excavation work
  • Engage with the General foreman and expected to take responsibility to participate in other work if no excavator work is available
  • Communicating with other operators, contractors, and clients to ensure the project is on track
  • Loading and unloading materials
