Examining specifications to determine dimensions of structures and measuring boards, timbers or plywood using various tools.
Loading, unloading, and moving materials from within or near the construction site from pallets, skids, trucks, or other locations.
Work with and install doors, hardware, trim, cabinetry, ceiling materials and millwork.
Supervision of subcontractor’s and shift work if directed by Pepper’s Project Foreman or Superintendent
Receive and handle any miscellaneous material deliveries
Erect scaffolding for buildings and install ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms and gangways, install rough frames and bracing them with boards nailed to framework, install subflooring in building, or weld parts to steel structural members.
Selective demolition of non-load bearing walls, ceilings and flooring material and clean up of all demolition debris
Partition framing and sheet rock installation
Specific tasks may include building rough wooden structures, such as concrete forms, scaffolds, tunnel and sewer supports and temporary frame shelters according to sketches, blueprints or verbal instructions.
General clean-up including vacuuming, sweeping and rubbish removal
Construct, erect, install and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, metal and wallboard using hand tools and power tools.
Driving equipment as needed
Finish carpentry including installation of doors, frames, hardware and trim
Installation and maintenance of safety handrails, covered openings, etc.
