The Area Service Manager (ASM) reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for overseeing the technician workforce. This leadership role involves managing performance, handling escalated field issues, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
- Recruit, hire, and supervise technicians

- Maintain market work level through site surveys and sales support
- Resolve escalated field service issues
- Develop and deliver training plans using company materials
- Provide technical support and ensure work quality
- Conduct ride‑alongs with technicians
- Perform annual technician reviews with VP approval
- Serve as role model, uphold company image and safety standards
- Enforce company policies and maintain local customer relationships
- Lead weekly service meetings, share performance scorecards, recognize top performers
- Inspect vans and equipment, ensure PPE compliance, discuss safety topics
- Review customer requirements, callbacks, and scheduling feedback
- Maneuver a 32‑ft ladder (~96 lb) within rating limits
- Haul equipment/tools to roof via ladder
- Drive up to 8‑10 hours per day for calls
