As a Solar Installer you will assemble, install, and maintain photovoltaic (PV) systems on rooftops, ground mounts, or other structures. Daily tasks include measuring, cutting, drilling, working at height, performing minor electrical work, assisting with structural upgrades, using hand and power tools, reading plan sets, following directions, and adhering to safe work practices while supporting senior crew members.
- Load and unload company vehicle and roof/structure materials for each project.
- Assemble roof components efficiently and safely.
- Perform conduit and minor electrical work as instructed, independently or under supervision.
- Install PV projects according to Freedom Forever plan sets and flashing requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Freedom Forever policies, safety regulations, and applicable codes (NFPA‑70, IRC, IFC, CA‑T24, etc.).
- Follow directions from senior crew members and provide recommendations for efficiency and compliance.
- Communicate with end users to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Complete all assigned Freedom Forever training modules by their due dates.
- Install various conduit types (EMT, RMC, IMC, LFMC, FMC) and follow written/verbal instructions.

- Possess a high school diploma or GED; 6 months‑to‑1 year PV installation experience preferred.
- Understand Freedom Forever PV products, building standards, and applicable codes.
- Ability to lift 50 + pounds, climb ladders, stand, walk, kneel, and perform repetitive motions while maintaining balance and precise hand control.
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and ability to drive a personal vehicle for site travel.
