The Electrical Engineer will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team within the Approving Authority, the primary purpose of the role is to directly support current operations and future programmes. Supporting nuclear facilities & the delivery of services across both Client Sites near Helensburgh.
- 💡 📝 Authoring technical justifications for electrical design modifications in high hazard industries.
- 📝 Check and review calculations and technical documents.
- 🕵️♂️ Conduct Independent Technical Review.
- 🗣️ Advise internal and external stakeholders.
- 🔄 Handle design changes/concessions.
- 📅 Develop EIMT Schedule, procedures, and results.
- 📐Experience in the design assessment of electrical installations in a HV or LV environment
- 📄 Manage Infrastructure Design Substantiation documents.
- 📝 Produce Periodic Review of Safety reports.
- 🔍 Review reports and safety submissions.
- 📊 Present Design substantiations to safety committees.
- 🛠️ Apply engineering knowledge to nuclear/high-risk environments.

- 🛠️ Familiarity with safety case development techniques like HAZID/HAZOP studies.
- ⚡ Theoretical and practical skills across concept, detailed design, and construction stages for electrical engineering projects.
- 🎓 BEng in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
- 💼 Worked in the UK nuclear industry (energy or defense), especially in safety-related structures, systems, and components.
- 🔒 Security Clearance: SC, UK National.
- 🤝 Experience in multi-discipline projects providing electrical engineering input.
- 🌡️ Experienced in regulated environments.
- 👷 Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent experience.
- 🏗️ Experience in assessing electrical plant and equipment for hazards.
