Alarm Service Technicians troubleshoot, repair, perform preventative maintenance (and occasionally install alarm systems). Alarm Inspectors are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on alarm product lines as well as similar competitive manufacturers’ product lines.
You must be able to lift a dead weight of at least 50 pounds and stand on your feet for several hours at a time. You must also be able to bend, stretch, crouch, and lift as required by the job, be able to respond quickly to sounds, move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces, see and respond to dangerous situations, safely climb ladders while carrying tools/items, work in extreme weather, and properly wear personal protective gear.
