Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and units as directed, helping extend the life and readiness of the fleet.
The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. operates machines, such as lathes, drill presses, power saws, and mills where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach; performs mechanical or skilled trades tasks of a non-repetitive nature, such as carpenter, technicians, service people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc; to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned; or to make general observations of facilities or structures; to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
Participates in general yard operations and assist with special projects or additional duties as assigned.
Supports cleaning, washing, and preparation of buildings to ensure they meet standards for redeployment.
Follows instructions to complete assigned tasks and participate in quality checks to ensure work meets standards.
Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment by using PPE properly and learning safety procedures and protocols.
Collaborates with team members and communicate effectively with the Service Lot Lead and other departments to complete tasks.
Assists in inspecting returned units to help identify necessary repairs under supervision. Tasks may include basic replacements such as flooring, walls, windows, doors, and lighting.
Begins learning and performing basic maintenance tasks in carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and welding, with guidance from more experienced technicians.

Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

Basic computer literacy (e.g., email, work order systems).
Team player with solid communication skills.
There is enough noise to cause the employee to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level. Subject to vibration, exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body. Subject to atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
This position is regularly required to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions consistently.
Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic arithmetic.
This position is regularly subject to repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers and is regularly required to operate machinery and/or power tools. Occasionally required to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
