Tasks

-Hands-On Variety – Work on everything from hillside repairs to seismic retrofitting, retaining walls, foundations, and slope stabilization -Write clear and professional engineering reports -Conduct on-site forensic evaluations of structures, foundations, and soils -Identify issues, analyze damage, and recommend repair solutions -Perform detailed inspections of subfloor and structural components -Impactful Work – Your designs are built and directly improve the safety and resilience of structures across Los Angeles and Orange County -Stay current on applicable codes and standards (CBC, IBC, AISC, ACI, etc.) -Communicate findings to clients, internal project managers, and leadership

What You Bring

Day shift We’re looking for a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to join our team as a Forensic Engineer. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the field, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to see the real-world impact of their engineering expertise. You’ll inspect structures, identify risks, and develop practical repair recommendations — all while helping protect homes and businesses throughout LA. In person – Sunland, CA 91040 and across Los Angeles County -Autonomy & Ownership – You’re trusted to take projects from concept to completion without micromanagement -Strong communication and report-writing skills -5+ years of experience in structural engineering, including fieldwork -Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering -Experience with forensic evaluations and field troubleshooting -Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines -Knowledge of structural codes and repair best practices -Professional Engineer license in California (Required)
