A global leader in power management, providing energy-efficient solutions for various industries.
The Senior Project Engineer reports to the IPT Engineering Manager and is responsible for technically leading and coordinating engineering projects up to Technology Readiness Level 6. The role involves developing new technologies and concepts that will shape future products, and is ideal for engineers who enjoy a broad spectrum of engineering topics or who aim to progress into a lead engineer position.
Key responsibilities include leading small‑ to medium‑sized projects, providing technical input to larger projects, and planning engineering tasks, managing internal functions, and producing engineering management plans. The engineer will engage with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet expectations, communicate internally, and organise and present engineering design reviews in collaboration with stress and safety teams.
The role also requires managing technical risks and opportunities, overseeing engineering changes to maintain system integrity and traceability throughout the lifecycle, and offering support and guidance across all product‑lifecycle stages. Coordination with engineering leadership and programme management is essential to secure appropriate resources and identify any capability shortfalls.
Candidates must hold a relevant degree (or an HNC/apprenticeship with sufficient experience) and have at least five years of engineering experience. Strong verbal and written communication, technical report writing, and presentation skills are required, alongside self‑motivation, initiative, teamwork, and the ability to resolve issues and handle ambiguity. Experience with engineering lifecycle, design reviews, and engineering sign‑off is advantageous, as is familiarity with project scheduling.
The successful applicant will have access to US ITAR‑controlled technology, goods, and information and may be required to undergo an additional screening process. We are committed to equal employment opportunities and apply balanced selection criteria that avoid unlawful discrimination based on protected characteristics.
