They’re now looking for a Project Executive to oversee 3-4 project teams across New York. The setup is probably best suited for a Project Manager from a prime GC background, ideally with MTA or heavy infrastructure experience, who’s ready to step into a role that’s more operational and bigger-picture than day-to-day building.
If we were to sketch out the “ideal” profile: Someone with roughly 20 years in the NYC GC world, who’s built MTA work, who naturally becomes the point-of-contact for the less experienced PMs and Supers, and who, if a project gets tricky, can say, “When this happened to me, here’s how I handled it, lets run through this together” A genuine player-coach type, hands-on enough to command respect, knowledgeable enough to steer the ship, and still ambitious enough to grow into a VP.
Heavy Civil Project Executive - NYC | $250k–$275k | Vehicle Allowance, Gas & Tolls | Bonus| Start: Q1
It’s a strategic hire for someone who wants to help take a strong GC to that next tier in the industry whilst stepping out from a strictly build role and is able to offer a clear growth path whilst steering clear of the 'traditional' structure and politics you might experience elsewhere.
