McCormick Taylor is seeking a qualified Transportation Engineer to join our Fort Myers, FL or Tampa, FL location. Given our corporate hybrid work policy and remote work flexibility, we would entertain candidates from a variety of locations within Florida with relationships focused in the Southwest Florida region and FDOT District 1 and 7. Candidates should have a detailed

understanding of transportation engineering projects, planning, analysis and design for Southwest FL Counties, Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the Florida Turnpike Enterprise.

10+ years’ experience in a similar position
Ability to effectively communicate thoughts and ideas to internal staff and clients
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A FL Professional Engineer license highly preferred, EIT required
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
Highway/roadway/traffic design experience with direct experience/relationships with FDOT and FTE including design criteria, standards and procedures
Ability to work well autonomously and with limited supervision
