Prepare, organize, and secure the work area to ensure a safe and efficient testing environment.
Assist the CPT Operator in the setup, operation, and maintenance of cone penetrometer testing equipment.
Load, transport, and unload equipment, supplies, and tools from company vehicles.
Communicate effectively with field crews, supervisors, and clients to support daily operations.
Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and inspection of field equipment and vehicles.
Travel to job sites throughout the region, often requiring overnight stays.
Handle and assemble rods, cones, and associated tools during field investigations.
Adhere to all company safety policies, field protocols, and quality control standards.
Support the collection, labeling, and recording of soil and subsurface data under the supervision of the Operator.

Ability to drive company vehicles to and from project sites.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Capability to operate and handle tools, rods, and mechanical parts safely and efficiently.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in varying field environments.
Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
1-3 years of experience in geotechnical or environmental drilling, construction, or a related field preferred.
Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively, sometimes on short notice.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and stooping for extended periods.
Ability to work safely on uneven terrain and in variable site conditions.
