Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer | Commercial, retail, multifamily, and healthcare projects

Description

• Prepare electrical construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Manage projects and monitor quality of work.
• Perform system design calculations, load calculations, arc flash and fault current, lighting, and any other calculations required.
• Participate in the selection and specification of all appropriate equipment.
• Design Power, Lighting, Fire Alarms, Telecommunications including all associated circuitry, details, one-line diagrams, and specifications.
• Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with all building systems.
• Attend meetings and communicate with clients.
• Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and architects.

Requirements

Immediate need for an Electrical Engineer with proven experience in Electrical building design and knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals. This position is located in the Philadelphia office and will support projects in PA and NJ. Role is in-office 5 days/week.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

• 4-7 years professional experience (not 20) designing electrical systems for commercial, multifamily, healthcare, and institutional projects.
• EIT desired.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
• Proven experience with A/E or MEP firms.
• Strong fundamental understanding of the NEC, as well as the International Building Codes.
• AutoCAD required; Revit desired.
• Ability to multi-task with multiple projects to meet strict deadlines.
