  • Prepare design and contract cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Assist in preparing and securing approval of tender and contract documents.
  • Assist with bridge inspections, assessments, and data collection.
  • Assist in preparing record drawings and final documentation packages.
  • Support field reviews, construction submittals, and contract administration.
  • Coordinate with sub-consultants and stakeholders.
  • Conduct hydrotechnical analyses of watercourse crossings and corresponding drainage basins using approved ATEC methodologies.
  • Support the development of conceptual and structural designs for various bridge types and transportation structures.

  • Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering and/or Structural Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution. A post graduate M.Eng. or M.Sc. with structural specialization would be considered an asset.
  • Registered or eligible to immediately register as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in Alberta and British Columbia.
  • Knowledge & experience with bridge design related to CAN/CSA S6, and its application to bridge projects across highway, rural road, and resource projects would be considered an asset.
  • Experience with bridge hydrotechnical analysis in accordance with Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors guidelines is considered an asset.
  • Experience in the application of AutoCAD Civil 3D, MIDAS and CSiBridge would be considered an asset.
