Overview

Install, maintain, and commission electrical systems in tunnels, shafts, and mobile equipment.

Tasks

-Perform electrical work in vertical shafts (up to 50m deep) and confined tunnels (3.8m diameter) -Commission and troubleshoot mobile and fixed electrical equipment -Maintain a high standard of safety and professionalism onsite -Ensure compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code -Safely work on live electrical systems -Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment

What You Bring

-Comfortable working in confined underground spaces -Certified Journeyperson Electrician -Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems -Computer operation w/Microsoft Excel/Outlook -Experience with high voltage systems and underground/mining environments (asset) -Self-motivated, responsible, and safety-oriented -Proficient in using hand and power tools -Interpret and work from electrical prints and schematics -Familiarity with shaft and tunnel equipment such as shotcrete pumps and road headers is an advantage
