  • Process contract claims, retentions, accruals, purchase orders, invoices and payments.
  • Work closely with internal Portfolio Leads and teams, external consultant project managers and contractors, to ensure processes run smoothly and reporting is accurate and timely.
  • Contribute to a high-performing, solutions-focused team driving positive outcomes for the Napier community.
  • Deliver project and contract administration to support the successful delivery of key infrastructure projects.
  • Play a key role in ensuring compliance with Council processes, policies, and legislation.
  • Administer the tendering of contracts via GETS, and assist the Portfolio Leads through the award process.

  • You have strong organisational and numerical skills, with a knack for accuracy and attention to detail.
  • You’re confident using Microsoft Office and have a good understanding of procurement, contract administration, and financial processes.

  • You’re a proactive team player, comfortable managing multiple priorities and building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • You bring at least five years’ experience in contract administration, project coordination, and office management within the infrastructure, civil, or local government environments.
