- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate with production leads, engineers, and other operators to coordinate workflow and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Quality Control: Inspect materials before and after cutting to ensure accuracy, clean edges, and conformance to dimensional tolerances.
- Production Efficiency: Monitor output, optimize material yield, and identify opportunities to improve productivity or reduce waste.
- Programming & Calibration: Interpret cut lists, read blueprints or digital files, and input precise measurements and cutting parameters into the machine control system.
- Material Handling: Load and unload sheets or panels safely using proper handling equipment and techniques.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on the beam saw to ensure consistent performance and prevent downtime.
- Machine Operation: Set up and operate beam saw equipment to cut wood panels, laminates, and composite materials per job specifications and production schedules.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, cut lists, and work orders.

- Forklift or material handling certification.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of beam saw control software.
- Familiarity with manufacturing safety practices and procedures.
- Experience in architectural millwork, cabinetry, or wood manufacturing.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Understanding of material optimization and nesting techniques.
