Plans, coordinates, and manages activities associated with the development and implementation of Constellation's maintenance and technical training programs for the clean energy center.
Provides direction for and supervises the planning, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of Clean Energy Center (CEC) training programs to improve CEC and personnel performance, covering mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, maintenance supervision, radiation protection, chemistry, and engineering support. Manages post‑training assessments to gauge impact on personnel and CEC performance, initiating systematic improvements and corrective actions. Supports CEC and fleet activities in business‑plan initiatives, project management, refuel outage support, emergency preparedness, and special projects.
Anticipates long‑range security training needs and develops strategies to meet them. Ensures training facilities, equipment, materials, records, and personnel qualifications align with program goals, and participates in NRC, INPO, and management audits, providing responses to findings. Coordinates training assignments among CEC management, external agencies, contractors, and the training department, and performs additional duties such as emergency response, departmental coverage, call‑outs, and outage support as directed.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, education, or training plus eight years of experience—four in power plants, two in nuclear power plants, and one in supervisory or managerial roles per ANSI/ANS‑3.1‑2014 (4.3.1). Alternatively, a current or previous SRO license with the same experience requirements, or an associate’s degree with ten years of experience meeting the same plant and supervisory criteria, is acceptable. Candidates must meet minimum access requirements, unescorted access rules as applicable, and pass a favorable medical examination consistent with the position duties.
Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in a technical discipline, experience implementing training programs, instructional experience, and a track record of leading cross‑functional teams. Experience with INPO accreditation or evaluation teams, benchmarking, peer assessments, and knowledge of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) are also valued.
