  • Build effective relationships across Finance and operational teams, promoting a culture of accuracy, accountability, and service excellence.
  • Provide data and insight to managers to support decision-making, forecasting, and risk management.
  • Prepare reconciliations, financial statements, and supporting documentation for internal and external reporting.
  • Process, track, and report on insurance claims, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution.
  • Administer and monitor all aspects of debt recovery, including liaison with customers, solicitors, and external agencies.
  • Support the month-end and year-end processes by maintaining accurate accounting records and journals.
  • Maintain compliance with NHG’s financial procedures, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.

  • Experience working in housing, local government, or a similar regulated environment.
  • Progress towards an AAT qualification (or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Dependable – consistently delivering high-quality, reliable outcomes.
  • Understanding of financial controls and accounting principles.
  • Experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally involving debt recovery or claims management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and IT skills (including Excel and financial systems).
