The positionrare provides local technical assistance for the design, development, and construction of bridges, roads, tunnels, and dams. Responsibilities include field inspections, repair support, and accurate documentation that meets industry standards for safety and functionality.
The incumbent will conduct bridge inspections across the Southeast, generate concise electronic reports, and assist with planning field trips while maintaining equipment and supplies. They will also perform calculations sulfur entry‑level support on repair designs, load ratings, and construction inspections, all while adhering to safety guidelines and WSP’s Code of Conduct.
Required qualifications include a high‑school diploma, strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and effective communication skills. Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel, comfortable using hand and power tools, physically able to work at heights (≤40 ft), and available for flexible schedules and occasional travel. A proven safety record and immediate U.S. work authorization are essential.
Preferred credentials comprise an associate’s degree or technical coursework, prior internship or leadership experience, and the ability to read plans and use drafting software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation. Interest in UAV/drone operation (FAA Part 107) and rope work (SPRAT certification) is a plus, as is a passion for outdoor field work.
