The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) oversees worldwide distribution of aftermarket parts, integrated logistics, and global service to support Caterpillar’s dealer network. PSLD focuses on customer success and continuously explores new ideas to drive growth.

The Packaging Engineer will design and develop both returnable and expendable packaging for individual parts and bulk shipments, ensuring timely and efficient receipt, delivery, and preservation of material. The role also creates packaging solutions for internal logistics and aims to optimize costs while protecting parts.

Establish packaging and processing specifications for new products, sourcing introductions, cost‑savings, and supply‑chain improvements.
Communicate packaging issues with facilities regarding receiving, warehousing, and line‑side delivery.
Perform cost analysis on existing packaging processes and recommend improvements.
Lead Green Belt projects.
Develop packaging solutions to protect finished painted components and improve transport efficiency.
