The position is based at our rental facility in McKinney, TX. The Telematics Installer will install and repair telematics systems on vehicles and construction equipment, working a Monday‑to‑Friday, 7 am‑5 pm schedule with overtime after 40 hours and occasional on‑call weekend duties.

Install telematics systems and devices on vehicles, construction equipment, heavy equipment, and customer assets.
Operate machinery during installations for testing and safely remove/replace ignition systems, integrating communication with telematics.
Handle a range of scenarios from basic power, ignition, and ground wiring to custom CAN‑network harnesses.
Diagnose issues, gather data, and develop alternative solutions as needed.
Travel to client sites and regional EquipmentShare yards to perform installations.
Represent the EquipmentShare brand and advocate for its platform while on the job.
Occasionally work outside regular hours and on weekends as required.

High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certificate preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools.
Experience as an electrician, HVAC tech, car audio installer, mobile electronics installer, automotive electronics technician, or 12 V technician (telemetry experience not required).
Own basic tools; specialty tools provided.
Clean driving record and ability to pass background check and drug screen.
Willingness to travel up to 250 mi from the branch for up to a week at a time.
Physical ability to lift over 25 lb, bend, squat, walk long distances and maneuver in tight spaces.
Ability to be clean‑shaven for certain worksites.
