Function as the lead inspector that directly coordinates with other inspectors and field technicians to oversee day-to-day project inspection tasks.
Assist office staff in preparing monthly progress estimate payments to verify all associated work items have been entered for payment and assist in clearing material shortages.
Maintain detailed records of the contractor's daily operations and events that affect the work and project schedule. A daily work report (DWR) must be recorded with TDOT’s DWRapp program. Must be familiar with TDOT standard forms and procedures.
Perform sampling and testing of component materials and completed work in accordance with the construction contract and TDOT Standard-Operating-Procedures. Samples must be taken and recorded using TDOT LIMS and standard forms.
Monitor the contractor's on-site construction activities to verify compliance with plans, specifications and special provisions for the construction contract.

High school graduate or equivalent.
Ten (10) years of experience in construction inspection including roadway and bridge construction.
