Senior Quantity Surveyor

Description

While your initial focus will be on strengthening our rapidly growing Hydrotherapy division, you will also help embed commercial best practice across the wider business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading from the front, building meaningful relationships, and shaping commercial standards to support Innova's continued growth.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor plays a key leadership role within the Commercial team and the wider Delivery function. You will take ownership of cost planning, estimating, procurement, and full commercial oversight across our Major Works and Hydrotherapy divisions, ensuring cost certainty, contractual compliance, and strong financial outcomes.

Innova design and fit out complex care environments, integrating specialist equipment, fixtures, and furniture, all supported by ongoing servicing and maintenance.

• Present cost build-ups to clients in a clear and credible manner.
• Lead supplier and subcontractor tender evaluations with a rigorous and fair approach.
• Represent Innova with credibility and confidence in client and supplier relationships.
• Influence and embed consistent commercial processes and best practice across the business.
• Develop accurate cost plans and estimates, ensuring full cost certainty at tender and delivery stages.
• Coach and support junior team members, helping develop capability within the Commercial function.
• Monitor site progress, manage variations, and maintain tight cost control.
• Promoting a positive and inclusive culture
• Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with contractors and suppliers.
• Lead on claims, dispute resolution, and commercial risk mitigation where required.
• Share commercial insight to support decision-making across Delivery, Design, and Project Management teams.
• Assess drawings and technical documentation to prepare Bills of Quantities, schedules of rates, and associated tender documents.
• Oversee contract administration and ensure compliance with JCT, NEC, and similar contractual frameworks.
• Manage the appointment and negotiation process to achieve commercially sound outcomes.

Full UK Driver Licence

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• RICS Accredited (ideally)
• Proficiency with relevant IT systems and commercial tools
• Strong experience working with JCT, NEC, or similar contract forms
• Strong time management
• Analytical and problem-solving ability
• Confident negotiation skills
• Proven experience managing the full commercial lifecycle of construction or fit-out projects
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
