Oversee resource development activities for SRP-owned resources, including siting studies, land acquisition, conceptual design, schedule, interconnection requests, and collaborating on transmission development.
Represent SRP in outreach and engagement activities in communities where new SRP resources will be developed.
Develop long term renewable acquisition/ownership plan that considers financial and operational tradeoffs, as well as opportunities for Federal direct pay benefits.
Develop long/short range plans, capital and O&M budgets.
Develop strategic alliances with developers, engineering and construction firms, and industry consultants.
Represent SRP’s interests while developing and advancing SRP’s relationships with other public power entities, peer utilities, industry organizations, federal agencies, state agencies and regulatory bodies.
Interface with media, elected officials, and other external stakeholders on questions about SRP-owned resources.
Develop and deliver presentations to executive management, the SRP Board, and other external stakeholders.
Develop capital plan associated with SRP’s annual Resource Plan.
Testify in support of resource projects in regulatory approval processes.
Hire, develop, and train new employees. Provide direction to analysts with varying experience from in-training to Senior Principal level.
Develop plans for repurposing or leveraging existing SRP generating facilities.
Develop strategies to mitigate the risk of project delays.
Develop and oversee implementation actions to ensure the successful execution of SRP’s long-term power generation Resource Plan.
Manage the selection/coordination and administration of outside consulting engineers contracted for work in support of projects.
