Work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and other stakeholders to maintain high-quality standards throughout the project.
Perform regular site walks to inspect work during and after construction for compliance with specifications, plans and safety regulations.
Verify that all construction activities, materials and safety measures adhere to industry standards, government regulations and contract documents.
Maintain thorough records of inspections, findings and corrective actions.
Prepare and present reports on quality metrics and progress to senior management.
Ensure the QMP aligns with contract requirements and regulatory standards.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to prevent recurring issues.
Help ensure a safe work environment by identifying and correcting potential hazards and ensuring adherence to safety plans.
Identify quality issues, perform root cause analysis and work with the project team to implement effective corrective actions.
Create and maintain a project-specific Quality Management Plan (QMP) outlining standards, procedures and protocols.
Track and verify subcontractor compliance with quality requirements.
Assist in training site personnel on quality control policies, procedures and best practices.

5 years of experience in quality control or inspection within heavy civil construction (roads, bridges, utilities, earthwork). Design-Build experience preferred.
Frequent walking, standing and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Proficient in reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Facilititate pre-installation meetings and quality-related training sessions.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in construction management
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods and testing procedures.
Familiarity with DOT specifications and ASTM standards.
NICET Certification
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
OSHA 30 Hour Certification.
